Delete ex from my facebook and myspace? 2 Years, 3 Months ago

This might sound weird but I would like to know if it is ok for me to delete my ex from my facebook and myspace? I never saw this break up coming and it has been really really hard on me. I do see her on my facebook and myspace everyday. I def think this is making me get over her alot alot harder.
What do I do?
I dont want me deleting her to look childish but I need to move on.
Thanks

I think it is perfectly OK for you to remove them from your profile. It is not childish. You are not saying anything bad about your X. Especially if it bothers you, then it will simply make things easier on you. It is just a sign of moving on and there is never anything wrong with that!

Trears - I know exactly what you are going through! I too have been facing the same exact situation where my X is still on my myspace page. I think for me, why I hesitate, is because of hope. It's like if I don't take her off and keep it so it says I'm still in a relationship then maybe things will work out.
If you are ready to move on and want to move on and hope has nothing to do with it then what is stopping you from taking her off your page? It's definitely not a childish thing to do. Those pages are meant to make connections and meet people. You want to move on from you X and show the world what you are looking for or who you are at present then go for it. If you're not ready too then don't. It's your choice and ultimately you will know what to do when the time is right.
Sites like myspace and facebook are great but not entirely real. They also can distort feelings and emotion. I cannot stand the whole friends list thing. It forces one to choose favorites among those you care about and then displays it for the world to see.
Myspace is a great way to meet people and I support it, however it can be tricky. I decided to select bands and organizations to put in my friends list so that no one person will look at the list and wonder why he or she is behind another on the list.
Just food for thought. You will make the right choice when you are ready. Just coming on here and asking for advice shows great character.

If its really that hard for you to see you ex on there then yes its ok to delete. I dont think its being childish at all. The only way your gonna get over that person is to not see them or talk to them. Outta site outta mind. You hafta do whats best for you!

I agree, this is not childish at all. No need for the profile if you do not have any sort of relationship with each other.
