Basketball shooting form advice 2 Years ago Karma: 7
I need advice on my basketball shooting formation. I am right handed. When I am practising and I shoot one-handed (right hand only) I have perfect form, and perfect spin, and it goes in almost every time. When I shoot two-handed, I miss most of the time.

I need to shoot two handed when I'm playing against people, but why am I missing when I play with both hands?

well if your practicing one thing, and doing a different thing in the game, then thats never good...always practice as if it were a game situation...if you practice shooting the ball one handed, then you have to force yourself to shoot one handed in the game. you have to create enough space between you and your defender to where you feel comfortable enough in shooting your one handed jump shot...stick with what works...maybe you should start by working on your ball handling skills so you can create an open shot for yourself

Here's a shooting manual that I put together. Has drills and pointers in it that I have picked up over the years to become a good shooter.

Hope it helps
